Will the Robot See You Now? 🤖🎨

Lately, the internet has been buzzing about a well-known company that decided to move its entire recruitment process over to AI.
The main argument? Candidates supposedly feel uncomfortable when recruiters "spring" a call on them, so a robotic interview done on their own time is a better experience.
Let’s put it all out there: We also start our mornings by saying "Good morning" to Gemini (sorry GPT, we’ve moved into an open relationship with other models). We absolutely love technology. But this argument? It just doesn’t hold water.
Why?
Because any company that respects its candidates doesn't "spring" calls on anyone. You can schedule in advance, send an organized calendar invite, include a booking link, and if needed, even send a friendly reminder on WhatsApp. The infrastructure for a comfortable, human-centric space already exists.
Then comes the "Google Meet" moment.
It’s 11:00 AM. We’re waiting. 11:02... still waiting... 11:05...
So why, oh why, do candidates still show up late?
Maybe a bot would react with programmed indifference (though more likely, the system would just time out and lock you out). But only a human being can hear, "I’m so sorry, my kid just..." and turn that into a moment of genuine connection.
At the end of the day, an interview isn't just about technical skills; it's about personality and how you navigate the "uncomfortable" moments of real life.
And that?
That’s something no algorithm will ever be moved by.
